Early English History
Posted by OurCommunity in Our Community on July 27th, 2009
Britain has an intriguing history that goes back thousands of years. Unfortunately many people living in present time know nothing or very little about it.
Its all about the Kings and Queens, and about different people who helped shaped the current state of affairs in Great Britain.
Britain is not a single country but a union of 4 nations, which is why it is called Great, and of course it has ex-colonies and expatriates spread all over the globe making its present make-up a mixture of various communities from all across the world in the United Kingdom.
The first signs of mankind in the British Isles (Yes Britain is an island) appears to be around 4000 BC in the Stone Age.
No literature of course exists for this era, but many stone age artifacts have been found both on the tip of Cornwall in the South all the way to the north of Scotland and their main legacy is Stonehenge in Wiltshire in Southern England and this is truly one of the seven wonders of England without doubt.
The other location which always overlooked is Avebury. In Avebury you will not find any large structure, as in Stonehenge, but you will find the remnants of a temple or something that was built over 2000 years and the reasons are not yet known.
Later in history these type of stones were used for making houses and roads etc.
After the Stone Age came the Iron Age (1500 BC to 43 AD approx) and men started using iron tools and also became more aggressive, building metal weapons and then different groups and families needed protection from other groups and families.

Posted by OurCommunity in Our Community on July 27th, 2009
Pink area rugs can turn your home from drab to zing! Because of their bright shades, appealing designs and wonderful softness, a pink home shag rug is not just floor coverings but they are regarded as a home furnishing too.
Area rugs are so celebrated that an average home usually has four or more pieces. This is because, aside from decoration purposes, they also serve different practical functions. Area rugs offer cushion and shield your stone or hard wood floors. They protect your feet from icy floors especially in winter by providing insulation. An area rug also helps soak up sounds and protect high traffic floor spots from scratch.
On a purely decorative note, these area rugs are used to anchor a room as a conversation area, hide an unsightly floor area, or define floor space by providing visual separation. A carefully selected area rug can set the overall class of your room with its style or color. It can also serve as a background against which your ornamental accents and furniture stand out.
Numerous website online are selling area rugs of all sizes, shapes and colors. They also carry different styles like Persian and Oriental rugs, Flokati, braided and canvas rugs. Persian area rugs are known for their bright colors and designs. Silk oriental rugs are usually woven by hand and are the most high-priced. Flokati rugs are luxurious and soft. They are made of wool and are 3-4 inches deep. Braided rugs are the most durable among all area rugs while canvas rags tend to impart a casual feeling to any room.
Make sure that the area rugs you select compliment and coordinate with your current home decor. You wouldn’t want them to stand out like a sore thumb and heavily contrast with your wall and floor color. There is no boundary to using area rugs except your imagination.

Posted by OurCommunity in Our Community on July 25th, 2009

Pick out the things that you think will interest others to the point that they will buy them. EBay’s responsibility now is to post your ads and let the auction begin. Depending on the time given, potential buyers will have to auction for your property.
Then by this time, the buy will have to be the happiest person alive since they usually settle the winner with someone who has the highest bid for that product. When you have found you buyer, this is when you will earn the money.
You local eBay store will just ship your things to the new owners. EBay has gained a lot of popularity since it was sold the products of other people online. You need to be patient in order to be successful in the public domain.
Decisions should be thought of well instead of basing it on what you feel. If you have competitors for you property, then you may need to play it the competitive way.
Check out the prices that other people have set for their properties and you may choose to offer a lower price so that people will auction for your product and not for them. If you have old things which you do not need anymore, then you may want to place them on eBay so you can strike it rich.

Building Trust In Internet Marketing
Posted by OurCommunity in Our Community on July 25th, 2009
Trust is an important factor to consider for all affiliate and internet marketers who want to build a sustainable and long term business online. Your credibility and the trust that you develop with your target market and costumers can easily outweigh most of the other elements of marketing online.
By building trust with your costumers, subscribers and potential business partners, you will gain a powerful edge in promoting affiliate products. People usually tend to buy from people whose opinion they value and trust, so it is obvious that you should focus your efforts on establishing a great connection and relationship with your target market.
You can do this in many ways. If you run a blog, make sure to keep it interesting, honest and avoid too much promotion on the first step. Dedicate yourself to providing value to your costumers in the form of solid and usable advice. You can run case studies on using certain products, report on the lates news and give your take on the situation and so much more.
If you are building your list, make sure to keep your subscribers interested in your offer. You do this by making a sensible broadcast plan, not emailing your list too often and by providing them with great free stuff, quality tips and recommending products of the highest quality, ones that you are using and that you have tried out.
This is instrumental in making affiliate marketing profitable. By building trust, you build your business on a strong foundation, one that can survive anything. By doing this, you can create repeat costumers, people that trust your recommendations and respect your opinion. There’s nothing more powerful in internet marketing as that.
Educate yourself about your FICO score before signing up with any debt relief plans
Posted by OurCommunity in Our Community on July 25th, 2009
As creditors tighten up and construct stricter lending laws, it becomes vital that people do not let themselves to fall into the sub-prime or high-risk zone of the banks criteria. Lenders are reluctant about lending capital to people with an immaculate credit score and enough income, yet alone to somebody that isn’t up to par. Anybody considered to be sub-prime already knows how difficult it has been to receive credit, and given today’s economic catastrophe, will find it pretty much impossible in the near future.
There are a few ways to keep a watchful eye on your current credit history. There are several internet websites designed for finding and gaining access to your credit report. The lenders use the data reported by the three primary credit reporting bureaus; Trans Union, Experian, and Equifax all issue a FICO score, which is the three digit number that the creditors use to evaluate the risk of lending, particularly when it comes to home loans. Keep watch by checking occasionally with these companies.
How your credit rating is broken down is crucial to know regardless, but it becomes especially important when researching the different systems of debt relief. About a third of the credit rating is composed of an individual’s debt-to-credit ratio and roughly thirty percent is based on the history of payments, both good and bad. The rest is broken up between a few different factors carrying less weight, such as the duration of time the credit has been available and the sorts of credit used.
The debt-to-credit ratio section of a debtor’s credit can be struck adversely without the portion reflecting payment history being affected the same way. This happens when there are high balances on credit cards, yet the consumer is not delinquent on their bills. Payment history will not be affected adversely if payments are up to date, but the high balances can weaken a credit score.
Any predicament involving a person falling past due on their payments will typically indicate a high or rising debt-to-credit ratio. The more payments that are not made or delinquent, the wider the hole that is dug. Missed payments result in late-payment charges and the increasing of interest rates. That’s when debtors reazlie they are trying desperately to climb out of a hole, all the while their balances are skyrocketing. Once somebody is slapped with a elevated interest rate and a bunch of penalty fees, unless there is an increase of monthly income, that consumer will feel the teeth of the credit industry grabbing on and sinking in. At this point, trying to get out of debt without assistance from a debt reduction program becomes very difficult.
Any avenue of paying back a bank other than paying directly in full will have a negative effect on a debtor’s FICO score. That’s why it must be understood precisely how your credit will be shown while currently on a debt resolution plan. Various debt resolution programs affect a credit score differently. However, there will pretty much always be an initial compromise of the credit score itself, the only difference being which factors are responsible for the change. So many debtors are not aware of this, so it’s critical to inquire as to how a credit counseling service, debt settlement program, or a worst-case scenario bankruptcy, will damage their credit.
Cat Spraying Behaviour, A Normal Cat Behaviour
Posted by OurCommunity in Our Community on July 24th, 2009
Feline spraying has to be differentiated from peeing outside of the litter box . It should not be confused with a lapse in litter box training. It is a normal cat behaviour.
Spraying usually takes place at ankle height, which distinguishes it from a litter pan problem. Cat spraying is when they back up to a surface, and tail twitching, mark the surface with their urine. When a cat is urinating outside of the litter box, the cat will squat to urinate on a horizontal surface. Inappropriate urinating is not the same as cat spraying.
Cat spraying is also more prevalent among male cats than it is among female cats. Non-neutered cats are more likely to spray than are neutered cats. Cat spraying can also happen when a cat is stressed, anxious or territorial. Male and female cats that are not neutered mark their territory as a way of calling another cat.
Urine spraying is a standard, innate territory-marking behavior that has nothing to do with your cat’s hygiene. Though both male and female cats will spray, the behavior is most common in non-neutered males, and in multi-cat households. Urine marking is a communication system for cats. Cat urine has pheromones which are chemical substances that tell other cats certain messages. Do not confuse spraying with behavior that might indicate urinary infections and digestive problems that cause uncontrolled peeing.
Neutering or spaying a kitten when young can prevent spraying problems in the future. Your vet will tell you on the best time to spay your cat.
Stress is another trigger for cat spraying. To lower this stress, maintain a home routine, feeding your cat at the same time each day and keeping their bowls and litter boxes in the same location. Stress can also be a cause of cat urine problems starting up. Cats can get stressed for many.
Clean soiled places thoroughly with an enzymatic cleaner. What doesn’t work is punishing your cat after the fact.
Cleaning the area with an enzymatic cleaner so the cat is not attracted back to the same site helps. Placing plastic or aluminum foil over the area, if possible, can be very helpful. Cleaning alone does little to stop spraying. Cats that mark in one or two particular areas may cease if the purpose of the area is changed.
